JOB TITLE: MARKETING INTERN

REPORTS TO: Community Manager

DURATION: 3 months

Description

The Westerwelle Foundation is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Marketing intern to join our dynamic and growing team. This person will work closely with our Community manager to provide support on event management, monitoring social platforms, and conducting market analysis. In addition, to be an excellent communicator, the successful candidate should have excellent multitasking and organizational abilities.

Job duties:

  • Handle reception duties as needed.
  • Perform market analysis and research on the latest trends/
  • Performing general office clerk duties and errands.
  • Monitor all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback.
  • Help with the planning and hosting of marketing events.
  • Contribute to the creation of social media content and email campaigns.
  • Record members’ suggestions, complaints and handle them accordingly.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for Marketing, Communication or similar field. Familiarity with video editing tools, photography and content creation on social media platforms.
  • Excellent organization, communication and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision.
  • Good knowledge of graphic designing is an added advantage.

Compensation:

This internship will enable the successful candidate to obtain valuable specialized experience in Marketing.  RWF 60,000 stipend will be paid at the end of each month.
