Work-study Description 

Kepler is looking for a detail-oriented student to serve as an Assistant to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for  Academic Affairs and Research. This work-study requires a commitment of 10 hours per week and will last for 6 months with a possibility of extension. The primary role of the assistant will be to assist with administrative tasks, student events, student data organization and/or collection as well as the implementation of specific initiatives.  Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic and Research will work under the supervision of Teppo Jouttenus. 

  1. Work-study responsibilities
  • Assist with the logistics connected to student events
  • Digital organization and connection of student information based on organization needs
  • Assist with report creation and data manipulation for various purposes
  • Assist with different initiatives that are beneficial to students as deemed necessary by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for  Academic Affairs and Research.
  • Accept other duties as assigned
  1. Qualifications, Eligibility & Skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • In good academic standing (must be maintained throughout the role)
  • Good and clear communication skills
  • Creative/critical thinker
  • Good at a time and task management
  • A student in cohort 2018 or 2019 A
