Work-study Description

Kepler is looking for a detail-oriented student to serve as an Assistant to the Manager of Students Affairs. This work-study requires a commitment of 10 hours per week and will last for 6 months with a possibility of extension. The primary role of the assistant will be to assist with student events, student data organization and/or collection as well as the implementation of specific initiatives.  The Assistant to the Manager of Students’ Affairs will work under the supervision of Jean Claude Kanyeshyamba.

Work-study responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing and monitoring of outreach activities
  • Assist with the logistics connected to student events
  • Assist with report writing and office filing 
  • Assist with different initiatives that are beneficial to students as deemed necessary by the Manager of Students’ Affairs
  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Students’ Affairs.

Qualifications, Eligibility & Skills

  • Demonstrate proficiency in technology in general with a focus on Microsoft Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel
  • Only 2018 and 2019A students are eligible
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • In good academic standing (must be maintained throughout the role)
  • Good and clear communication skills
  • Creative and critical thinker
  • Good at a time and task management
  • Show excellence in personal attitude and social values
