Background of GNG:
GNG aims to foster dialogue and understanding amongst the world’s youth through online educational programming. Global Nomads Group programs focus on storytelling, an interdisciplinary and powerful vehicle for young people to build empathy, global awareness, and action orientation skills. By exchanging their personal stories with one another, youth reflect on their families, cultures, communities, and contexts and allow them to make global issues personal, relevant, and actionable. Intern’s Roles and Responsibilities:
The Global Nomads Group Seat at the Table (SATT) program is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation intern. In this role, you will work closely with the Associate Manager of Programs, and Institutional Giving and the greater SATT team to monitor, manage, and evaluate program impact data.

Responsibilities will include support with: monitoring SATT conversations, transcription of SATT conversation video recordings, quantitative and qualitative data collection and management, content analysis of transcriptions on our outcomes of empathy, sense of belonging, global awareness, action orientation, and 21st Century skills. There may also be opportunities to craft material for external communications and/or curate social media content.

In the end, your work will help GNG capture and amplify the magic of virtual exchange – from the words and experiences of youth themselves – so that we can demonstrate program impact to external audiences.

Skills Sought:

  • Experience with data management and content creation
  • Creative and organized
  • Experience in data management
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Background in research methods, primarily qualitative or mixed
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience in outcomes/success measurement
