JOB TITLE: Operations Intern

REPORTS TO: Operations Associate

DURATION: 3 months

Description

The Westerwelle Foundation is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Operations intern to join our dynamic and growing team. This person will work closely with our operations staff to provide support in the area of logistics, event management, and operations/administration.

Job duties

  • Maintain supply inventory.
  • Handle reception duties as needed.
  • Assist with daily operational duties.
  • Coordinate events as necessary.
  • Helping organize and maintain an office in common areas.
  • Performing general office clerk duties and errands.
  • Provide support in the operations of the makerspace.
  • Record members’ suggestions, complaints and handle them accordingly.

Preferred qualifications

  • Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for Management, IT or similar field. Excellent organization, communication and computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Ability to work well under limited supervision
  • Good knowledge of IT will be an added advantage.

Compensation:

This internship will enable the successful candidate to obtain valuable specialized experience in administration/operations. RWF 60,000 stipend will be paid at the end of each month.
