Moustapha Cisse is a Research Scientist and Head of Google AI Centre in Accra, Ghana. He is committed to building an axiological artificial intelligence to improve the lives of marginalized populations. His current research efforts focus on essential prerequisites of such AI: Fairness, Transparency, and Reliability. He was born and raised in Senegal where he studied maths and physics at University of Gaston Berger, he holds a Ph.D. in machine learning at University of Pierre et Marie Curie in Paris, France.
